The NWS has Le Flore County listed in the enhanced fire spread area for Thursday. High temps, high winds and low humidity are a tender box for fast moving wildland fires. So please don’t be doing any outside burning.

LeFlore County is now under a burn ban. Please do not start any fires outside.

While it’s windy, we ask that you please avoid lighting any fires. These conditions can make fires get out of hand very quickly.

There is not official burn ban. This is just a request from your local volunteer firefighters. Thanks!
