From wearing pink or orange on Wednesday to celebrating our Main Character Energy on Thursday, our staff and students showed up and brought the fun! 🩷🧡✨

🧡 Every Child Matters.

On September 30, Rock Ledge staff and students wore orange to recognize Orange Shirt Day and honor Indigenous children who attended residential and boarding schools.

The movement began with Phyllis Webstad, whose orange shirt was taken from her on her first day at a residential school in 1973. Wearing orange reminds us that every child deserves to feel valued, loved, and safe.

Our Black Creek kindergarten students are building important skills as they practice spatial awareness, balance and locomotor movements. They’re off to a great start developing coordination, confidence and body awareness! 💪

📊 THREE YEARS OF PROGRESS

What does progress look like?

Sometimes, it looks like students growing.
It looks like schools improving.
And sometimes, it looks like the numbers.

Over the past three years, Seymour Community School District’s Wisconsin State Report Card scores have continued to trend upward:

📈 District: 67.5 → 70.3 → 72.8
📈 Black Creek: 68.0 → 70.1 → 75.3
📈 Seymour Middle School: 78.2 → 82.1 → 86.5
📈 Seymour Community High School: 60.1 → 63.2 → 63.3
📈 Rock Ledge Elementary: 68.2 → 69.8 → 69.8

From 2022-23 to 2024-25, our district score increased 5.3 points.

These results are one measure of the work happening across our schools every day — by students, educators, staff and families.

As we look ahead to the 2026-27 school year and the proposed operating referendum, we believe it’s important for our community to see where we are today, recognize the progress we’ve made, and consider what continued investment can mean for the future of Seymour students.

Three years of data. Three years of progress. And a future worth continuing to invest in.

Good luck at State Girls Golf!!

The Girls' Golf is headed back to state for the third consecutive year by winning the Sectional Meet with a 341. Lyla Schueler, Morgan Lewis, and Maci Heagle all finished in the top ten overall.

📣 BALLOT QUESTION

On November 3, voters in the Seymour Community School District will see a referendum question regarding the District’s revenue limit.

Question:
Shall the Seymour Community School District, Outagamie and Shawano Counties, Wisconsin, be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $5,000,000 per year for three years, beginning with the 2027-2028 school year and ending with the 2029-2030 school year, for non-recurring purposes consisting of operational and maintenance expenses, including expenses related to staffing and to maintaining programs and services?

The funds would be for non-recurring operational and maintenance expenses, including expenses related to staffing and maintaining programs and services.
