The Thunder golf team has set another school record! For the first time ever, Seymour is sending THREE golfers to State!

🏁💨 Fast cars, creative designs, and record-breaking speed!

Our 7th & 8th grade students in Mrs. Arneson’s class put their engineering and construction skills to the test by designing and building DIY CO2 cars and custom display holders. After completing their builds, students raced their cars to see whose design was the fastest! 🔧🚗

The results were incredible, with many cars reaching speeds of over 50 mph! ⚡

A special shoutout to Jack W., who set the fastest speed in all of Mrs. Arneson’s years of teaching with an amazing 55 mph! 👏🏆

Great work to all of our student designers and racers for their creativity, problem-solving, and craftsmanship!

☀️ FIELD DAY FUN IN BLACK CREEK! ⚡

Smiles, laughter, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun filled the day at Black Creek Field Day! Students spent the afternoon enjoying buddy time and rotating through a variety of exciting games as part of our Responsive Classroom activities. 🏃‍♂️🎯🤝

Of course, one of the biggest highlights of the day was the always-popular class vs. class tug-o-war competition! This year’s most talked about matchup? Kindergarten vs. the 8th graders… and somehow the Kindergarteners came out victorious. 😉💪

To top off an amazing day, students headed inside to cool down with a well-earned popsicle treat! 🍧

Students enjoyed a special visit from Elizabeth with the Muehl Public Library as she introduced this year’s Summer Reading Program: *Unearth a Story*!

From learning about the “3 Sisters” — corn, beans, and squash 🌽🫘🎃 — to exploring the layers of the Earth, students dug into some fascinating topics while discovering all the exciting activities happening at the library this summer!

Thank you to our incredible students, staff, families, board members, and community for making this year one to remember. Your support, dedication, and Thunder pride helped make Seymour Community Schools an amazing place to learn and grow each day.

Our Rock Ledge 2nd graders headed outside to share their amazing reading skills with each other as one of our fun end-of-the-year activities. 💛

Now we need YOUR help, Seymour Community families! We want to fill our social media pages with photos of kiddos reading all summer long. 📖😎
