What a great day at the 2nd Annual Old Monterey Trail Heritage Festival! Visitors had the opportunity to experience Civil War history through displays and even had the chance to fire a cannon. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the history of the Civil War, the Old Monterey Trail, Michie and McNairy County. We look forward to seeing you at next year's festival and the re-enactment of the 165th Anniversary Battle of Shiloh "Into the Hornet's Nest".

Are you looking for a Father’s Day activity to spend quality time with the father figure in your life this year?

Join Shiloh National Military Park Ranger Anthony Killion for a special car caravan driving tour of the battlefield on Father’s Day, June 21, 2026. This driving tour will explore some of the sites and stories on the battlefield that center on the relationship between father and child.

Space on this special ranger program is limited to 10 vehicles, so call the Shiloh Visitor Center at (731) 689-5696 to reserve a spot today. The program will begin at the visitor center at 1:00 pm and conclude at 3:00 pm. Participants are encouraged to wear clothing appropriate for the weather, bring plenty of drinking water, and be prepared with sturdy shoes and insect repellant for short hikes into the woods at some of the tour stops.

🍕 Sunday Lunch is Here… At Least for a Trial Run! 🍕

With very limited food options available on Sundays in our area, we know many of you are looking for a place to grab lunch after church and spend time with family and friends.

This Sunday, we’re doing a trial run and opening early at 11:00 AM! We’ll be serving until 8:00 PM and will have our salad bar and lunch specials available for everyone.

Whether you’re coming straight from church, meeting family for lunch, or just looking for a good meal, we’d love to have you join us.

If the community supports it, this could become something we continue in the future!
