Hi Everyone,

We have some exciting news to share! On June 6 & 7, we will be producing a Fitter & Faster Swim Camp at Selah Aquatic Center. This camp will focus on Complete Butterfly & Breaststroke Racing Skills. Over the two days, swimmers will refine bodyline, kick, pull, breath, and timing in both strokes, along with fast starts, underwater dolphin kicking, butterfly breakouts, breaststroke pullouts, open turns, and finishes to become faster and more efficient in every race.

Now is the time to sign up. Spots are limited in each session, pricing will rise as the camp gets closer, and sessions fill quickly. Out of an abundance of caution and concern that the power to the area may need to be cut off, the pool will be closed noon to 4pm today, July 9th. We plan to open again this afternoon at 4:30 for our evening programming including swim lessons, lap swim, and evening swim, as long as it is safe to do so. Let’s keep extra crowds out of the area so emergency crews can work.

Parents!

I wanted to remind everyone about our rapidly approaching Fitter & Faster Essentials for Faster Racing Swim Camp that we will be hosting on May 31 & June 1 at Selah Aquatic Center.

In this four-session swim camp, our swimmers will receive world-class guidance from elite clinicians at Fitter & Faster, focusing on key elements essential for enhancing overall racing performance! There will be two sessions each day, both designed for swimmers ages 9&over. The curriculum each day will be:

May 31:
The Fifth Stroke - Underwaters
Fast Starts & Breakouts
June 1:
Faster Flip Turns, Open Turns & Finishes
Essentials of Sprinting

Selah School District residents: Rentals for Summer 2025 open at midnight tonight! Send your rental contract in via email or bring it in between 3:30&5:30pm weekdays. If we receive it via email, we will call you for payment. Rentals are accepted in the order received. Schedule, prices, open dates/times, and the contract are all available under the rentals tab on our website.

Looking forward to this summer! The Aquatic Center opens for the season in 3 months-June 11! Applications are pouring in and we are registering swim instructor and lifeguards for their training classes.
