Our friends at WHEEL and the Homeless Remembrance Project laid new leaves on the 9th Ave sidewalk at St James for people who have died. This is often the only memorial they will have, and people who knew them told stories of their friends. Those in attendance replied in prayer, “We remember you.”
Come by and remember them too, steps away from our our Saturday morning location at St James Outreach Center, 907 Columbia St.

Next week on July 22, Catholic and Orthodox churches celebrate the feast day of St Mary Magdalene. This disciple of Jesus, misunderstood and maligned throughout history, is now more fully seen as "Apostle to the Apostles" and the one who first witnessed and proclaimed Jesus' resurrection.

Rev Jean Kim and the founding board chose this woman of the gospels as our namesake to create a place of healing and hope for women experiencing homelessness. With your help, we continue this tradition!
