🚨 Suspects Flushed Three Men Out of Their Tent With a Fire Extinguisher — Then Beat Them With a Crowbar and Wrench in Broad Daylight at a West Seattle Park

✅ FACT CHECK — VERIFIED BEFORE POST

⚠️ Sunday afternoon at Rotary Viewpoint Park in West Seattle, three men were targeted in one of the most calculated attacks Seattle police have reported this year — and two of them nearly didn't survive it.

Just before 1:00 p.m., Seattle Police responded to reports of an armed robbery near 35th Avenue SW and SW Alaska Street. When officers arrived, they found three men — ages 28, 39, and 42 — on the ground with severe head injuries.

📋 Here's what investigators say happened:
Multiple suspects approached the victims' tent inside the park. Rather than confronting the men directly, the suspects deliberately deployed a fire extinguisher inside the tent — forcing all three men out into the open. The moment they emerged, the suspects were waiting.

The victims were ambushed and struck repeatedly in the head with improvised weapons: a crowbar, a wrench, and the fire extinguisher itself. Two of the men were beaten unconscious. While they lay on the ground, the suspects went through their pockets, demanding everything they had. The third victim — despite suffering a severe head laceration — managed to break away and escape.

🚑 All three were transported to Harborview Medical Center. As of Sunday evening, two remain in critical condition. The third is stable.
🐕 A K9 unit tracked the suspects' scent to a tent in a nearby encampment. SPD's SWAT team responded and served a search warrant on the property — but found no one inside. The suspects remain at large.

📡 SPD's Robbery Unit is actively investigating. Incident #2026-85848.
