No Mow May ends this week. And if you let even a corner go, something moved in while you weren't looking.

Native bees found the flowers that bloomed when the mower stayed put. Beetles and moths took up residence in the stems. In many parts of the country, firefly larvae have been spending the year in undisturbed soil, getting ready.

All About Native Bees 🐝

Celebrate World Bee Day (May 20) with Garden for Wildlife! Bees are our most important pollinators, but they are often misunderstood. While the agriculturally important honey bee gets the spotlight, our native bees are actually the ecological powerhouses of the ecosystem.

Join us this Wednesday, May 20 at 6 PM ET for an interactive session with naturalist David Mizejewski. We'll bust common myths and reveal the fascinating biology and behavior of native bees.
