Preschool & Kindergarten Roundup
April 20, 2026
*Current SCES students will not have school April 20, 2026
Roundup will include Screening, Kindergarten Physicals and information in one day. *Please bring your child with you.
Who should attend? Incoming Preschool Students and Current Preschool Students.
*Current Kinder-Prep students do not need to attend. You will complete your online enrollment in August.
Students Currently enrolled in Mrs. Palkowitsh district preschool & Golden Rule 4 year old preschool will come to Scott City Elementary during your assigned time for screening. Your assigned time will be sent home with your child. During this session students will be screened, results will be reviewed and Parents will complete the Ages and Stages assessment. This will take approximately 1 ½ hours.
Students Enrolling in the district Kindergarten or Kinder-prep program that are not on this list, will need to call for an appointment at 620-872-7660. These students should still plan to complete a physical on this day.

ALL STUDENTS NEW TO SCOTT CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:
complete a PHYSICAL The Scott County Health Department will take walk-ins from 8-12 & 1-5:00. Appointments are preferred on this day. *Students that attended Scott City Elementary during the 2025-2026 should have one on file.
PRE-ENROLLMENT PAPERWORK (bring your child’s birth certificate, immunizations and social security card).

**Please let the SCES office know if your child will not attend SCES in the 2026-2027 school year. We will remove their name and will allow other children to use the time slot.
**Please let us know if your child will attend Kinder-Prep for the 2026-2027 school year. They will not need to complete the screening, but parents will need to complete pre-enrollment information.
Student schedules will be sent home in your child’s backpack
STUDENTS THAT INTEND TO ENROLL IN THE USD #466 DISTRICT 4 YEAR OLD PRESCHOOL
will come to the office between 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. This is a come and go time, plan for approximately 45 minutes. Incoming preschool students will call the Scott County Health Department for an appointment 620-872-5774.
USD #466 4 year old preschool students must meet one of the following state qualifications:
Poverty-family qualifies for free lunch
Single Parents Families
SRS referral
Teen Parents when child was born
Parent lacking HS diploma/GED
Migrant
Limited English Proficiency
Developmental/Academic Delay
