After a difficult week being the very best public servant I can be, I was overcome with emotion to find two thank you notes from the Teachers and Students in my Son’s and Daughter’s classrooms. This thoughtful gesture reminded me of my passion to serve our students. Happy School Board Members Appreciation Day to my Fellow School Board Members!

HYBRID: CIVIC AWARENESS SERIES WITH THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS - THE STATE OF PUBLIC EDUCATION

The League of Women Voters facilitates a panel to discuss the current state of public education. The panel will discuss how potential changes to The Department of Education could or already have affected the Illinois school system. The panel will be moderated by Anna Klimkowicz.

Jeff Julian (Chief of Staff and VP of External Affairs)
Nicholas Scipione (District 54 School Board President)
Samantha Bray Ader (District 15 School Board President)

This program is brought in partnership with The League of Women Voters (LWV) of the Palatine, Barrington, and Schaumburg Areas. The LWV is a non-partisan organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, and works to influence public policy through education and advocacy. Membership is open to all persons sixteen years of age and older.

After registering, you receive a link to the Zoom webinar at least three hours before the program. If the event is full, or if you prefer, you can watch the live stream on YouTube.com/.
