Q: How does a meeting work?
A: There is a short intro for anyone who is new, followed by three 5-minute presentations from eligible recipients, members vote, votes are counted, those members in attendance write checks, and the meeting is over. (In coming weeks after all checks are received the checks are handed over.)

Q: Can I join if I don’t live in Andrew County?
A: Yes! Anyone can join. They just need to know their donations will be assisting Andrew County Groups.

Q: Can recipients use your check to solicit additional funds.
A: No. Recipients are not supposed to use your checks or address from your check to solicit additional funds.

Q: What happens to presenters who are not chosen?
A: They stay in the random draw to present at future meetings.

Q: As a member, what if the group I voted for doesn’t win?
A: Although it may not be your first choice, you are still obligated to donate.

A: Less than 1 hour (usually around 30 minutes)

Q: Can I attend a meeting before joining?
A: ABSOLUTELY! We welcome you to come and see how the meeting goes ahead of deciding. You can decide that night or for the next quarter. The only catch is that you can’t vote for a recipient if you aren’t a member.
