We Are Open for the season!!

💎⛏️ Mining Season Begins Today! ⛏️💎

Northern Mining Company and the Mighty Sluice officially open TODAY during Free Play Sand Day!

Here’s the deal: Free play sand is FREE and perfect for sandboxes and backyard fun.

Gem mining is separate. To gem mine, you’ll purchase your mining rough inside The Warehouse, then head outside to the Mighty Sluice to wash away the dirt and uncover your treasures!

Kids can discover gemstones, crystals, emeralds, fossils, arrowheads, tumbled stones, and more.

It’s hands-on, messy-in-the-best-way fun, and the treasure hunt begins today!

The wait is over… Northern Mining Company officially opens today during our FREE Play Sand Day in the Sault! 🌞🏴‍☠️💎

And this year? We’ve added EVEN MORE treasures for kids to discover.

Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Come inside The Warehouse and choose your bag of mining rough
2️⃣ Head outside to the Mighty Sluice
3️⃣ Wash away the dirt and uncover hidden treasure like a real prospector!

Kids can choose bags containing:
💚 Emeralds
✨ Crystals
💎 Gemstones
🪨 Tumbled gemstones (including 1 natural pencil point polished stone!)
🦴 Fossils
🏹 Arrowheads

Want the BIG haul? Grab a 10lb Crystal Quest or Motherload bag loaded with an even larger mix of treasures and collections! 🌈⛏️

It’s hands-on, exciting, messy-in-the-best-way fun… and honestly? Watching kids discover their treasure never gets old. Every scoop feels like a tiny backyard expedition into a pirate cave mixed with a geology lab. 😄

Thursday: 6am–8pm

✨💎 “This is more fun than my birthday!” … “Best day of my life!” — Those were the shouts we overheard from a group of three girls who came out to earn their Junior Miner Certificates this week. While we know it probably wasn’t *the* best day ever (😉), it was clear they were having an absolute blast sifting and striking it rich with their treasures!
We love seeing kids light up when they discover something new, and we’re so glad these future rockhounds chose to spend their afternoon with us. 🪨🔍
