In honor of the United States of America's 250th birthday, the City of Satellite Beach will proudly unveil its Military Honor Wall on July 1 in the breezeway of City Hall and the Civic Center.

The dedication ceremony will begin at 7:30 a.m. and is open to the public as we gather to recognize and honor the service, sacrifice, and commitment of the men and women who have served our nation.

Veterans in need of transportation assistance may contact Volunteers in Motion at 321-635-7999 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

We invite our community to join us in this meaningful tribute as we honor those who have helped preserve the freedoms we cherish.

🚧 IMPORTANT TRAFFIC NOTICE – JACKSON AVENUE CLOSURE 🚧

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Jackson Avenue will be temporarily closed from South Patrick Drive to Sunset Street for approximately four weeks as part of ongoing infrastructure improvement projects.

⚠️ Traffic Changes:
• No left turn from southbound South Patrick Drive onto Jackson Avenue
• Northbound right-turn lane onto Jackson Avenue will also be closed

✅ Access to the following locations will remain available via South Patrick Drive:
• DRS Community Center
• U.S. Post Office
• Dill Dinkers
• CubeSmart
• Curri Properties

Businesses on the south side of Jackson Avenue will remain OPEN during construction. Customers and visitors will be directed to park in the DRS parking lot and use a designated pedestrian walkway for safe access.

City staff and contractors will continue working closely with impacted businesses to minimize disruptions and complete the project as quickly as possible.

C-Shift got creative with their training this week! Using our local playground as an obstacle course, firefighters practiced self rescue techniques while blindfolded to simulate dark, confined spaces.

C-shift crew members responded to an unusual rescue call after four ducklings became trapped in a storm drain on Gulf Stream Way. Thanks to the crew's swift actions, the ducklings were safely retrieved and reunited with their concerned and very vocal Momma duck and siblings! Great work C-shift!
