South Walton Community Council SWCC is a 501c3 nonpartisan coalition of residents, neighborhoods & business leaders united to suppo

Through educational programs and community outreach and organization, SWCC seeks to raise awareness to preserve South Walton's natural assets including our beaches, dunes, coastal dune lakes, floodplains, wetlands, forests and native vegetation. By providing community forums, special events such as our Back To Nature Festival, an Outdoor Adventure Guide, and capacity building education for local a

nd neighborhood based organizations, SWCC serves as a positive, proactive clearinghouse for organizations and information on the unique natural resources and quality of life issues in the region. Led by a full time executive director and a volunteer board of directors, SWCC relies on memberships and donations to fund important educational and community advocacy work. As a recognized 501c3 nonprofit organization, all donations are tax deductible.

**Sharing of information from other community organizations, news sources and members does not necessarily indicate organizational support or endorsement. As a clearinghouse for community and environmental information, information is shared to encourage further proactive discussions, advocacy, and community development.

The Planning department has contracted with a company that is providing great reporting and mapping. I spoke with a representative yesterday and received a demonstration. This site can do a lot. You can also export data, save your searches as templates to rerun those searches. You can find a link on www.southwaltoncc.org under News and Resources. You can also go directly to all the County Meetings under the Meetings menu.

NOTICE of TOWN HALL MEETING

Please be advised that Walton County Commissioner Danny Glidewell will hold a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Walton County Courthouse, located at 571 US Highway 90, DeFuniak Springs, FL.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Walton Forever Land Acquisition Program.

Please be advised that two or more commissioners may attend.

This meeting is open to the public. For additional information, please contact Walton County Administration at (850) 892-8155.

Walton County adheres to the American with Disabilities Act and will make reasonable modifications for access to the meetings upon request. Please call (850) 892-8110 to make a request.
