The Friends of the Coastal Branch Library raise funds exclusively for the support of projects, and programs at the Library and to promote public awareness of the services and programs available. The South Walton Coastal Branch Library is located on Hwy 331 South in the South Walton Government and Education Center (south of the bridge and South Walton School). The library is 12,572 square feet offe
ring the latest fiction, bestsellers, paperbacks, magazines, and a wonderful children's area and books for children and young adults. The Library has computers for internet access and well as printing capability. One of the major ways we support the Library is by selling donated books in our Book Shop. We have racks of books at the entrance: Hardbacks, $2.00 - Paperbacks $1.00 and Children's Book 10 for $1.00, as well as a "free" rack. There is also a Book Shop located inside the Library with even more books. Our major fund raiser(s) is our fantastic annual book sale. This year is "Buy the Book" and you can fill a shopping bag full of as many books as will fit for $10.00. Books can also be purchased separately!!! We also participate in outreach programs providing books to those who may not be able to come to the Library, enlist artists to display their beautiful works in the Library and volunteer in many projects related to Library. Come see the beautiful art on display this month by Local Artist Maggie Kalina. Also on display are Digital Photographic prints from South Walton High School's Visual Art Scholars! Zumba, Thai Chi, Emerald Coast Stitchers, Curves on the Go, Book Club, Children's Chess, and any activities offered monthly! Come check us out - Come Volunteer! Friend’s membership is $20 per year single membership and $35 family membership and includes our newsletter and updates on programs and opportunities to volunteer as well as special member activites!
