We can’t solve a problem if we’re not accurately measuring it. Santa Monica needs better data so we can understand who is experiencing homelessness in our city, how long they’ve been homeless, what challenges they’re facing, and whether people are repeatedly returning to homelessness.

That also means distinguishing between people who became homeless here and those who arrived in Santa Monica already experiencing homelessness.

If we want better outcomes, we need to start with better information.

Good policy should be based on clearly defined problems, measurable outcomes, and real data — not assumptions.

I’m running to help bring energy back to our local economy, support the people who keep this city moving, and make Santa Monica work better for residents.

Santa Monica should be clean, safe, affordable, and open for business.☑️

That means keeping our streets, parks, and public spaces clean and well maintained. It means making sure residents, families, visitors, and business owners feel safe in every part of the city.

It also means addressing affordability so the people who live and work here have a real opportunity to stay here, while supporting thoughtful housing solutions that make sense for our community.

And being open for business means creating an environment where local businesses can open their doors, grow, hire, and succeed without unnecessary obstacles.

These are the fundamentals of a strong, thriving Santa Monica: a city that works for the people who call it home.
