La Reina was having a great time dancing to Candace Vargas & Northern 505 at the El Fresco night at the Plaza. Congratulations to Candace Vargas for being the NMHMA Female Vocalist of the Year!!! She surely knows how to get the party started. It was a wonderful evening.

As we prepare to welcome our next 2026 Reina de Las Vegas & Royal Court, we look back on our former Reina’s. The role of Reina is not just a title, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to serve as an ambassador for the City of Las Vegas. Many of our Reina’s continue to positively lead in many ways.

We will be looking back on our past Reina’s and sharing where they are now.

Today was recruitment day for Reina applicants!

Thank you to East Las Vegas & West Las Vegas High Schools, for letting us come to talk with students about applying to run for Reina. Applications are available and deadline is June 1st. Link to apply is below!

We had a yummy lunch (corned beef, potato, green chile burrito) and visit with Abraham at Abraham’s Tiendita. It was a nice surprise to see Santa Fe State Representative Tara Luján.

We ended the day at KNMX radio to record a commercial and interview with Dwight Torrez! Thank you Dwight and Matt for making today so much fun! Stay tuned for our commercial hitting air waves soon!

Would you like to become the next Reina de Las Vegas? The Reina de Las Vegas title is a unique opportunity to represent the City of Las Vegas with pride, confidence, and tradition. As Reina, you will serve as a visible ambassador for the community, celebrate culture and heritage, and take part in meaningful events throughout the year. This is more than a title. It is an opportunity to grow in confidence, build leadership skills, and create lasting memories while representing your community in one of the most celebrated roles of the Fiestas de Las Vegas.

Young women ages 16 to 24 are invited to apply for this special role. The selected Reina will lead the 138th Fiestas de Las Vegas Court alongside the Princesa and Damas, representing the spirit and tradition of this long-standing celebration. We are aiming to build a full court this year and return to tradition, strengthening the cultural celebration and community involvement.

All candidates will also participate in the 138th Fiestas de Las Vegas Pageant on June 28. This unforgettable evening offers the chance to showcase poise, personality, and leadership while honoring a cherished community tradition.

La Reina had the privilege to attend the Swearing-In Ceremony of the newly elected and re-elected officials as they took their oaths, and made a promise to move our city forward.
