Santa Cruz Juneteenth celebrates Black Liberation and Freedom for our 35th year in Laurel Park behind the historic London Nelson Community Center . Santa Cruz Juneteenth theme is RESILIENCE. Join us for music, dance, poetry from the diaspora, nourishing soul food, craft booths and more THIS SATURDAY (6/13)!
Dance to the park in our 2nd Line Parade starting at 12:00 pm at the BLM Mural with a live brass and drum band.

🌿💪 West Cliff Ice Plant Take-Down! 💪🌿
It took a village... and a whole lot of horsepower! 🚜🚛
Our team rolled up their sleeves and tackled invasive ice plant along West Cliff Drive, helping restore and protect one of our community’s most iconic coastal landscapes.

By the numbers:

⏱️ 6 hours of teamwork
🚜 1 tractor
🚧 1 skid steer
🚛 4 dump trucks
🌱 41,260 lbs (18.7 tons) of ice plant removed and hauled away
This massive effort helps improve coastal habitat, supports native vegetation, and keeps West Cliff beautiful for everyone who enjoys walking, biking, and taking in the ocean views.
