Meet Newt! 🇵🇷👋🐾

This Hart Park Barnyard resident is 8 years old and was born in Puerto Rico! 🇵🇷

Newt loves showing off his tricks, including sitting, shaking and spinning. One of his favorite activities is pushing soccer balls around with his nose! ⚽

Stop by the Barnyard to say hello to Newt and meet some of the other animals that call Hart Park home.

Lamentamos profundamente la pérdida de The MAIN y de varios negocios de Old Town Newhall a causa del incendio ocurrido esta mañana.

Durante más de 30 años, The MAIN, anteriormente conocido como Repertory East Playhouse, ha sido un lugar muy querido en Main Street y un punto de encuentro para nuestra comunidad. En este espacio se han presentado obras de teatro y comedia, exposiciones de arte, eventos comunitarios y muchas otras experiencias creativas.

The MAIN siempre fue mucho más que un espacio para las artes escénicas. Fue un hogar para artistas y narradores, y un lugar de encuentro para el público. Ahí se fomentó la creatividad, se crearon lazos y el arte unió a la comunidad.

Aunque el edificio ya no está en pie, los recuerdos y los lazos que ahí se crearon seguirán siendo una parte importante de Old Town Newhall y de nuestra comunidad artística.

También expresamos nuestra solidaridad con los negocios vecinos y con todas las personas afectadas por el incendio de esta mañana.

“Old Town Newhall is the root of our City's history. I am sorry to lose these historic buildings. While we feel the loss, we also look to our future to support the people who have always worked toward making this a special place in our community. We will ensure that the history of this treasured area continues to be celebrated as the City will do everything we can to bring back what we have lost.
We are grateful that the beloved Canyon Theatre Guild - in its beautiful historic brick building was left intact - so theatre can continue to thrive on Main Street.
Our Fire Department did a monumental job of containing the fire, keeping it from impacting any other buildings. They are remarkable men and women who run toward danger to help save what we love - both our spaces and our lives - and we are grateful that none of them were injured in the firefight.” – Mayor Laurene Weste
