Last week’s council meeting marked a major milestone for Santa Ana’s creative future. The adoption of the City’s new Public Art & Preservation Policy is a significant step forward in advancing the vision set forth in the City’s 2016 Arts & Culture Master Plan, creating a stronger framework to support public art, preserve cultural identity, expand opportunities for artists, and ensure community voices remain at the center of our public spaces.

This policy lays the foundation for thoughtful investment in murals, sculptures, installations, and cultural preservation that will shape Santa Ana for generations to come. Thank you to our artists, residents, Councilmembers, Commissioners, and community partners who helped make this progress possible!

La reunión del consejo de la semana pasada marcó un logro importante para el futuro creativo de Santa Ana. La adopción de la nueva Póliza de Arte Público y Preservación de la Ciudad representa un avance significativo en el cumplimiento de la visión establecida en el Plan Maestro de Artes y Cultura de 2016 de la Ciudad, creando un marco más sólido para apoyar el arte público, preservar la identidad cultural, ampliar las oportunidades para los artistas y garantizar que las voces de la comunidad permanezcan en el centro de nuestros espacios públicos.

Esta póliza establece las bases para una inversión reflexiva en murales, esculturas, instalaciones y preservación cultural que darán forma a Santa Ana para las generaciones venideras. ¡Gracias a nuestros artistas, residentes, miembros del Concejo, Comisionados y socios comunitarios que ayudaron a hacer posible este progreso!

Việc thông qua Chính sách mới về Nghệ thuật Công cộng & Bảo tồn của Thành phố là một bước tiến lớn trong việc phát triển tầm nhìn được đề ra trong Kế hoạch Tổng thể Nghệ thuật & Văn hóa năm 2016 của Thành phố, tạo nên một khuôn khổ vững chắc hơn trong việc hỗ trợ nghệ thuật công cộng, gìn giữ bản sắc văn hóa, mở rộng cơ hội cho các nghệ sĩ và bảo đảm tiếng nói của cộng đồng luôn là trọng tâm trong các không gian công cộng của chúng ta.

Chính sách này đặt nền tảng cho những khoản đầu tư có định hướng vào tranh tường, tác phẩm điêu khắc, các công trình nghệ thuật sắp đặt ba chiều và bảo tồn văn hóa, góp phần định hình Santa Ana cho nhiều thế hệ mai sau. The City of Santa Ana is helping entrepreneurs turn ideas into successful businesses through FREE expert guidance, start-up workshops, and direct one-on-one support. From licensing assistance to growth strategies, this program is designed to help local business owners succeed at every stage.

Visit Santa Ana City Hall during Business Assistance Office Hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

The City of Santa Ana is pleased to announce that the Small Business Incentive Program grant application is now open.

Santa Ana remains committed to supporting the growth, stability, and long-term success of local businesses. This program assists eligible new businesses by helping offset qualified start-up costs and providing technical assistance during their first three years of operation. Funding is provided through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Program Criteria:
• Up to $5,000 in reimbursable business expenses (up to $2,500 for home-based businesses)
• Open to microbusinesses with five or fewer employees, including the owner
• Businesses must be located in Santa Ana and have been in operation for no more than three years as of the application date
• Income limits apply
