Happy Monday, NFEF friends! Did you see the recent New York Times article that discusses the impact COVID-19 has on the wild elephants in Thailand?

“The park has been able to restore itself,” said Chananya Kanchanasaka, a national park department veterinarian. “We are excited to see the animals are coming out.”

The work here at NFEF seeks to be part of the conversation around true conservation as we restore elephants to their natural habitat, where they belong. As they rely on dozens upon dozens of plant species to maintain good health, elephants need to be protected in the jungle and the jungle needs elephants to preserve biodiversity.

We’ve been busy this past week sending donation checks to the three organizations selected to benefit from Trunk ‘n Groove. In total, we collected $4500!

We would like to share a special thank you message from Ava at Never Forget Elephant Foundation, who received $2500 from All Ears. This donation will be able to fund one month of expenses to care for the 14 elephants at Never Forget in Thailand.

All Ears Elephant Foundation is out Trekking for Trunks in support of Never Forget Elephant Foundation!

Never Forget Elephant Foundation is hosting an event you can do from your home to support the 14 elephants at their sanctuary. “Trek for Trunks” is what they’re calling it. If interested, check out this post below for details.

The beautiful Mo Mo Lo inspires us to reach for our goals! Did you hear? We are hosting our very first walkathon next weekend on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17. It’s been a big goal of ours for a while and we need your help to have a successful weekend. Trek for Trunks will celebrate the freedom of the 14 elephants here at Never Forget and we’d love to have you join us for an unforgettable time where we can make a memory together for the elephants!

The details of the experience are right here on our page under the “Events” section where you can sign up to connect from different corners of the world, united in our love for the elephants here at Never Forget.
