San Tan Valley Fire District A page dedicated to providing the most up to date information regarding the formation of a fire district here in San Tan Valley.

Our community has grown substantially over the last 10 years. Our fire service has not grown at the same pace. If we organize and fund (through property tax) our own fire department, we get to decide what level of service we want.. That decision is currently made by a large PROFIT driven Delaware Corporation. Our money should stay in the San Tan Valley and not mingled with other funds from around

Central Arizona. Many of you do not support the current fire service and their high fees. We suggest that it can be done much cheaper, and with a better return on investment. With all of us supporting a Fire District, everyone pays their share to support our own fire department.

General information

Fire Districts are governed by Arizona Revised Statute, Title 48-802 through 48-854. It allows the forming of a 5 person elected board to set rates and manage that money to provide quality fire services.
