Our community came together to celebrate the beautiful mosaic of cultures that make Silicon Valley so vibrant at the Mosaic Festival Silicon Valley. 💃🏻🪭🎶

It was incredibly meaningful to attend this year’s World Refugee Day celebration and stand alongside communities whose stories reflect courage, resilience, and hope.

This community gathering was a reminder that behind every journey is strength, sacrifice, and the opportunity to rebuild, thrive, and belong. I am deeply honored to join the Buddhist community of Northern California in celebrating the 9th Annual Vesak Day and to take part in the ceremonial procession and veneration of the Buddha relics.
Thank you to the Organizing Committee, KNT Foundation, the Vietnamese Buddhist Community of Northern California, and all volunteers for organizing such a beautiful and meaningful celebration.
Wishing all Venerable monks and nuns, Buddhist devotees, and community members peace, good health, and continued blessings.

Betty vô cùng vinh dự được cùng cộng đồng Phật tử Bắc California tham dự Đại Lễ Phật Đản lần thứ 9, cũng như được tham gia đoàn diễn hành và cung nghinh – cung vinh xá lợi trong không khí trang nghiêm và thiêng liêng của buổi lễ.
Đây không chỉ là một chương trình văn hoá đầy ý nghĩa, mà còn là dịp để cộng đồng cùng nhau kết nối, hướng về những giá trị tốt đẹp của lòng từ bi, sự an yên và tinh thần đoàn kết. Our students from Quimby Oak Middle School’s Lobo Academy of Innovation came together at History San Jose for their annual “Do You Know the Way to San José?” project. 📖

Thank you to Ms. Hernandez and our Quimby Oak educators for helping students connect with the stories, cultures, and communities that shaped our city. As the daughter of Vietnamese refugees who grew up in East San José, it was meaningful to share my family’s story and remind students that history doesn’t stop with us as we are all part of San José’s story. ✊🏼

Happy 10th Anniversary to the Healthy Nail Salon Recognition Program! 💅

A decade ago, this program was created to recognize salons that go above and beyond by using safer products and proper ventilation, helping enhance safety protections for workers and clients. Today, there are more than 102 participants in the Healthy Nail Salon Recognition Program! Santa Clara County is now the first in the state to expand the program to include hair salons that provide nail services. Many of our salons are immigrant- and women‑owned local businesses, and when we invest in them, we strengthen our entire county.
