I’m Sly. No, I’m not sneaky or anything like that. It’s short for Sylvester. I’ve been waiting patiently at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society for over 3 years for someone to give me a chance at being part of a family. The volunteers at the shelter love me and treat me well. They take me on walks a couple times of week and give me yummy snacks. But what I really want is my very own family to love. Don’t let the gray hair on my face fool you. I’m only about 5 years old, and I have plenty of s***k left in me. I'm a Miniature Pinscher and Chihuahua mix and weigh about 12 lbs.
Now I’m going to turn it over to my human pal John to tell you some nice things about me. I’m modest like that.
Thanks Sylvester. My name is John and I’m a volunteer at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society. For as long as I’ve been volunteering there (more than 3 years), Sylvester has been there. People wonder why he’s been there so long. They may ask, “what’s wrong with him?” Well, nothing is “wrong” with him. He’s an absolute joy to be around. He loves kisses and rubbing his belly on the grass (and of course snacks!). Unfortunately, when people visit the shelter, it seems that the dogs that tend to get picked first are the fluffy white dogs, or the ones that look cute and cuddly. I think Sylvester is a handsome little guy who deserves a home like all the other animals at the shelter. That’s why I thought I’d get him some exposure on Facebook. There has to be a person or family out there who would welcome Sylvester into their home. Please share this post to get Sylvester more exposure.
