📋 Bike to School Safety Checklist for Parents 🚲📚

Who’s ready for 𝗕𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 season? 🙌
Here’s a quick checklist to help your family start the school year safe and confident:

✅ Bike & Helmet Check – Tires pumped, brakes working, and helmet fits snugly
✅ Route Review – Walk or ride the route to school together before the first day
✅ Safety Talk – Remind kids about looking both ways, crossing at crosswalks, and being visible
✅ School Programs – Ask if your school has a Safe Routes to School plan or Walking School Bus
✅ Driver Reminder – If you drive, plan extra time for drop-off and watch closely for kids walking and biking

A little preparation goes a long way in making the 𝗕𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 commute safe, fun, and stress-free. 💛

"I want to talk about the secret sauce.

The 529 Shield is like having a ADT symbol for your bicycle. It lets the police, the crooks, and the bike stores know about your bicycle. And because we don't need personal information, it can run completely off your email address - your privacy’s protected. So imagine, a policeman like me standing at First and Second Avenue at two o’clock in the morning. I’m checking a bicycle, and you’ve taken the time to do all the photos of your bicycle and all the details.

Now I can connect that bike to you and have it back to you. If you lived in Vancouver, I could have that bike back to you before you even wake up. So thanks again.
