Have you heard the news?

Neighborhood treasure, Rare Device, is looking for a new owner!

After 14 amazing years, Giselle Gyalzen is ready to pass the torch. She has turned Rare Device into a staple of our community with its unique and thoughtfully curated selection, as well as a very loyal following locally and beyond.

Since taking the helm in 2011 (yes, while on maternity leave!), Giselle not only moved the store to Divisadero Street, but also transformed it into a creative hub.

Giselle's impact doesn't stop there. As President of the Divisadero Merchants Association, she helped revitalize the Divisadero Art Walk and commissioned several vibrant murals to brighten up the corner of Hayes and Divisadero.

To celebrate Rare Device and Giselle, former ASNA President Jason Jervis selected Rare Device to feature in his latest community spotlight video. It's a heartfelt reminder of how much Rare Device has meant to the community through the years.

If you or someone you know is interested in continuing the legacy of Rare Device, please reach out to Giselle at [email protected].

Let's help find the next steward for this incredible community gem!

Take a peak inside the Archbishop's Mansion. An elegant San Francisco landmark that's stood strong since 1904.

Thank you to the sponsors, ASNA volunteers, Painted Ladies neighbors, and the beautiful families that came out to Alamo Scare last night! We had a huge turnout and look forward to continuing to elevate this experience for our community.
Happy Halloween! 👻🎃

Dear friends and neighbors, with no intention to bring more bad news your way, we are sorry to announce the passing of the legendary Joe Pecora. His rich histories of the beautiful homes of Alamo Square have delighted many. He served as ASNA's secretary years back and spent years collecting the fantastic stories behind the homes we love to admire inside and out. He will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.

We are saddened by the news of two luminous neighbors leaving us in the last week:
Curtis Bryant, "CB" known as the Mayor of Divisadero.
And Thuy Nguyen, the beacon behind the San Francisco SkateClub.
Divisadero will not be the same without their smiles and warmth. Our hearts are with their loved ones.
