Our Mission
In order to achieve our vision, Amikas will work to:

Prevent women and children, especially veteran women, from being homeless. Create and provide housing options for homeless women and children. Influence society's perception, and public policies regarding homelessness.

We’re happy and grateful to announce that we’ve begun the next phase for our Meridian-Amikas Village of Emergency Sleeping Cabins. SD CoLab: An arts collaborative workspace is generously hosting us for the initial stages of milling, cutting, and pre-drilling wood for four more cabins to add to the existing six.
