To celebrate Dia, please join us on Thursday, April 30 at 10:30 a.m. for a special educational story time featuring a staff member from the Barona Cultural Center & Museum. They will share a reading of Baby Rattlesnake by Lynn Moroney, a story rooted in Native storytelling traditions, followed by a hands‑on rattlesnake rattle craft activity that helps children connect creativity with cultural learning.
The Barona Cultural Center & Museum is dedicated to preserving and teaching Kumeyaay culture and history. With more than 6,000 artifacts, exhibitions, a theater, and expansive research archives, the museum plays an important role in sharing the stories, knowledge, and traditions of the Kumeyaay people.
This program is recommended for pre‑school and kindergarten‑aged children and offers a meaningful introduction to cultural storytelling, art, and history. We hope you’ll join us for this enriching learning experience.
