In 2019, 474 women died by gender-motivated murder in Turkey. (BBC Online) Turkey became less and less habitable for women during the last decade. Casual s*xism feeds femicides until men kill women with random excuses, such as refusing s*x, wearing a skirt, coming home late, cooking the food he doesn't like, cheating, or in some cases simply just being there.
PLEASE SHARE THIS VIDEO. I made this video in English because if the world knows about this crisis that is happening in a country that claims that the rest of the world is jealous of it. International pressure might push Turkish government to make new policies against gender violence.

Loujain al-Hathloul
She is one of the faces of women's fight for the right to legally drive and against male guardianship system in Saudi Arabia. She is known for her video driving a car, which she published long before the ban got removed.
[Al-Hathloul is known both for her role in the women to drive movement and in opposing the Saudi male guardianship system. On 1 December 2014, she was arrested and detained for 73 days after an attempt to cross the border in her car from the UAE to Saudi Arabia on charges related to defying the female driving ban in the Kingdom.

In September 2016, along with 14,000 others, al-Hathloul signed a petition to King Salman asking for the male guardianship system to be abolished. On 4 June 2017, she was arrested and detained at King Fahad International Airport in Dammam. The reason for the arrest was unclear and al-Hathloul had not, as of June 2017, been allowed access to a lawyer or contact with her family.

She was detained again on the eve of 15 May 2018, along with Eman al-Nafjan, Aisha al-Mana, Aziza al-Yousef, Madeha al-Ajroush and some men involved in campaigning for women's rights in Saudi Arabia. Human Rights Watch interpreted the purpose of the arrests as frightening "anyone expressing skepticism about the crown prince's rights agenda". ]

Eman Al-Nafjan
Eman al-Nafjan has become a prominent figure in the women’s rights movement in Saudi Arabia for fighting the driving ban on women and the male guardianship system. She is one of 13 people who have been arrested since 15 May 2018 for their activism.

She is the author of the blog SaudiWoman, launched in 2008, on which she describes herself as ‘a mother of four or at least I try to be’. She continues: ‘I am also an assistant professor of linguistics at a university in Riyadh.

Don't forget the Stanford ra**st Brock Turner. Don't forget he got sentenced for only three months for ra**ng someone unconscious behind a dumpster and video taping it. Don't forget he was not jailed longer "not to hurt his image for the rest of his life." So remember his face.
