Discover hundreds of Pacific Northwest wildflowers, herbs, berries and mushrooms with our native plant guidebooks. Please only take samples in areas of abundant groups to insure continued sustainability for future generations. Natural Aviary & Magical Animal Visitations: Our hillside, three-level retreat home has 1200 square feet of decking ideal for observing and enjoying the songs of multiple bird communities that inhabit the 100+ foot fir trees. Identify jays, sparrows, woodpeckers and eagles among many others with our National Audubon Society Sibley Guide to Birds as they fly below you. A family of gentle deer, rabbits, squirrels, and a herd of magnificent elk also make an appearance at very auspicious times. Secluded Location for Silent Sunrises, Sunsets, and Starlit Skies: Our peaceful hilltop presence on 10 acres of national protected forestland is perfect for meditating to these spectacular daily events. The summer night sky for astronomy hobbies is especially remarkable.

38-Year Family History: In 1984, my mother and partner purchased this fir, alder & cedar forest directly adjacent to old-growth, protected, public lands, dug a well, and began building their dream home for grandchildren. For decades of snowy, winter holidays, stunning wildflower springs, heavenly berry summers, and vibrant color autumns, it has nourished the nature spirits in two generations of grandchildren, a large variety of farm and domestic animals, and every extended family member or friend that steps into it's magical beauty. We strongly feel sharing something so close to our hearts with other families and groups wishing to reconnect with nature not only increases it's blessings and gifts, but also it's longterm sustainability for which we are deeply grateful.
