Here at SDJ, we believe in electoral reform that gives voters more power to choose their elected leaders and reduces barriers to entry for good candidates who have been locked out of politics. Ranked-Choice Voting establishes just that.

Ranked-Choice Voting (RCV) is a voting system in which voters rank candidates in order of preference. Votes that do not help voters’ top choices win count for their next choice.

Ranked-Choice Voting improves fairness in elections by empowering voters to elect leaders that represent them. When coupled with proportional representation, RCV provides a greater political voice for individuals who are not a part of the monied political elite.
