We can never stop fighting!

While the passage of the 19th Amendment on this day in 1919 was a historic victory, we refuse to stand by as the rights NOW fought for are stripped away.

We will challenge every attack on bodily autonomy, every effort to roll back women’s freedom, and every politician who seeks to deny equality.

We will not stop until the Equal Rights Amendment is certified, and equality under the law is guaranteed.
Equality delayed is equality denied.

We all came away a little more knowledgeable and a little more empowered! I can’t wait to parter with her again!

Congratulations Cherie! What a win it was!!

For the first time in Kentucky Derby history, a woman trainer has taken home the competition’s crowning glory.

Cherie DeVaux, 44, made history Saturday when the horse she trains, Golden Tempo, pulled ahead from last place to overtake race favorite Renegade and win the first Triple Crown race.

DeVaux told the “Today” show Monday that it was quite an honor to be the first woman trainer to win the title. "I consider myself a horse trainer, and I just happen to be a female," she said.

The Saratoga Springs, New York, native gave credit to jockey Jose Ortiz, who rode Golden Tempo to victory. Golden Tempo was considered a 23-1 longshot, according to “Today.”

"The credit for winning the race definitely goes to Jose because he had to time that perfectly," DeVaux said. "And he had all of the faith in the horse that he had it."

DeVaux is the first woman trainer to win the Derby and just the second to win a Triple Crown race after Jena Antonucci won the 2023 Belmont Stakes.

“I’m glad that I could be a representative of all women everywhere that we can do anything we set our minds to,” DeVaux said to NBC after the win.
