Mr. Meza is the absolute best!! We are so lucky to have to have him in the Den!!🥳💙
Finding something you are passionate about is one of the most exciting parts of growing up. It sparks curiosity, focus and interest. For many students, that special interest is what makes school fun.
Lucas is a sixth-grader at Tejeda Middle School. For Lucas, it’s the trumpet, and he’s getting really good at it. 🎺
His mom couldn’t be more thrilled that he’s found his passion in music. She also couldn’t be more impressed with his band teacher, Edgar Meza. She recently sent him a Staff Shout Out, thanking him for his dedication and making the middle school transition a little easier.
“My son Lucas has had the most amazing experience with Band Teacher, Mr. Meza. It really started at the "band interview". Mr. Meza took his time and made Lucas feel so confident in his selection (trumpet). Now that school has started, Lucas says band is his absolute favorite class. He talks about how Mr. Meza makes learning fun and how excited he is to learn music and play trumpet. As a parent of a 6th grader, I was worried about the transition but teachers like Mr. Meza (and many others) have made middle school feel welcoming, engaging, and fun!”
