Bexar County Young Tejano Democrats

Bexar County Young Tejano Democrats Tejano Democrat motto, "La Voz del Pueblo." The BCYTDs serve the purpose to be the voice of our students affiliated with the Democratic Party.

The Tejano Democrats were established in the late 70's by Senator Gonzalo Barrientos and other noted Democrats for the purpose of creating a "voice" for Hispanic Democrats and their issues; hence the motto: Tejano Democrats - "La Voz del Pueblo." The purpose of the Bexar County Young Tejano Democrats is to engage, mobilize, and increase participation of young Hispanics/Latinos in the political pro

cess in order to address the issues that affect our community. To mobilize the Hispanic/Latino Vote, is to mobilize the youth vote, and it starts at the grassroots level. We will follow and continue the work laid out by the Bexar County Tejano Democrats in organizing to establish a solid working partisan political organization that willstand firm in holding our elected officials accountable. We will support and campaign for candidates and elected officials who are accountable to us, and endorse candidates that share our political ideals. If you are interested in serving the Hispanic community at the grassroots level, we invite and look forward to meeting you at our next Bexar County Young Tejano Democrat meeting. BCYTD Organization:
