TROUT ALERT!

Over 1100 Rainbow Trout were stocked at South Llano State Park on 10/09/2025.

Reminder: The stretch of river within the park boundaries is considered a Community Fishing Lake (CFL). As a CFL, the regulations are:

- 5 fish per person per day, all species combined EXCEPT only 1 black bass per bag.
- Black bass must be over 14 inches to harvest.
- No minimum length limits on any other species.
- Pole and line fishing only.
- Anglers may use no more than two poles while fishing.

There are TROUT ABOUT at Garner State Park!

Over 1200 Rainbow Trout were stocked at Garner this morning.

Reminder: The stretch of river within the park boundaries is considered a Community Fishing Lake (CFL). As a CFL, the regulations are:

It's trout season!

Last Thursday, October 16th, drivers from AE Wood Fish Hatchery transported approximately 400,000 Red Drum fingerlings from Palacios to stock into Victor Braunig Reservoir.

With the 600,000+ fish stocked at Calaveras, that makes over a million Red Drum stocked between the two reservoirs!

Thank you to the AE Wood and Perry R Bass Hatchery staff who make this possible!
