The Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) is responsible for the health and well-being of the most important resource in the United States Air Force – its people. It operates and manages a worldwide healthcare system capable of responding to a full spectrum of health requirements and provides an integrated healthcare system from fo

rward-deployed locations through definitive care with an emphasis on prevention of illness and injury. AFMS employees work in 75 military treatment facilities and numerous support functions worldwide, providing quality-driven and prevention-based healthcare for 2.63 million beneficiaries. While the majority of the civilian employees work in direct patient care, there are also opportunities in fields such as environmental protection, human resources, procurement, and information technology.
