Today, District 5 was honored to welcome and introduce Pastor Adam Aguilar of Kingdom Soldier Ministries as today’s invocator. 🙏🏽

Pastor Aguilar and his team are doing meaningful work across San Antonio, serving families, providing food and clothing, offering mentorship and prayer, and showing up wherever their neighbors need a helping hand.

Thank you, Pastor Aguilar, for sharing your words with City Council today, and thank you to the entire Kingdom Soldier Ministries family for the work you do to uplift our community.

American Sign Language (ASL) and Spanish interpretation available. Free parking will be available on-site.

🎒✨ District 5’s Back to School Bash was a huge success!

We loved bringing together students, families, teachers, and neighbors for a day full of fun, free resources, and community. From backpacks, school supplies, teacher kits, and free haircuts to visits from the H-E-B Buddy, Spurs Coyote, and Blue Cares, there was something for everyone!

A big THANK YOU to all of our community partners and resource organizations for showing up and helping our families get ready for an amazing school year. Here’s to a safe, successful, and exciting school year, District 5! 📚💙

What a great afternoon at Paletas in the Park! 🌳🪁

It was wonderful seeing neighbors come out to enjoy the new improvements at Jimmy Flores Park, connect with one another, and visit with our Parks & Recreation team to learn more about the latest park updates.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and to Parks & Rec for hanging out with us! We loved spending time with you and can’t wait for the next one! 🥳

Smell it: Strong odor like rotten eggs  Hear it: Hissing or roaring noise
See it: Dead plants, dirt blowing, or bubbling water

If you suspect a natural gas leak, act immediately. Call 911 and CPS Energy at (210) 353-4357 (HELP).

Come enjoy a free paleta, connect with neighbors, and check out the park’s new upgrades, including:
✨ New 6-post shade structure
- New lighting
- New wear pads
- New protective Rollcoat layer over the playground surface (PIP)
