The City of Von Ormy will hold the annual 2026-2027 Budget Hearing and Regular Commissioner Meeting on 09/10/2026 at 6:30pm (Edited to add time) at the municipal building on Quarter Horse.

VON ORMY BULK TRASH REMOVAL◀️◀️◀️

City of Von Ormy residents....

The city has 4 roll off dumpster that can be utilized for bulk trash removal.

The city is offering this to our Von Ormy Residents that trying to clean up after the storm.

These are located here at City Hall.

A huge Thank you to Rebeca Clay-Flores for Co Commissioner, Pct 1 office for arranging these after the storms in our area.

Please note, these are NOT for everyday trash items. These are for storm cleanup needs.

- Tree Limbs
- Roof Shingles
- Siding and such damaged materials
- Debris resulting from storm damages

***Please no paint, oil, tires or batteries and such of that nature.

⚠️⚠️⚠️Residents-Please avoid Benton City Road⚠️⚠️⚠️

Vehicle hit a gas line near the Von Ormy City Limits (area). I don't have an exact addess.

Fire Dept is on site and Gas company is in route.

Please avoid the area until fixed.

Do you have a citation that needs to be taken care of?

Do you know that you do not have to wait until your court date (or have to take off work) to pay your ticket?

Are you worried because you can't pay your ticket in full? Our clerks can arrange payment plans on certain tickets (as long as they are not past the court date) and work with you to keep your license from being suspended.

If you have questions, just call our court office at 210-622-9935 and our court clerks can give you the options you have for your citation.

Help us welcome three newly staffed officers to the City of Von Ormy Police Department.

Officer Ramirez
Officer Rodriguez
Officer Hernandez

In the last few months, the City Police Department has increased patrol along IH-35, Loop 1604 and within the city.

The new staffing changes have resulted in a 60% reduction in accidents as well as ZERO (0) crash fatalities along the Von Ormy stretch of IH-35.

One of the major concerns that many Von Ormy residents shared with elected officials and city staff was lack of night patrol.

We are happy to inform that you will now see increased overnight policing.

The safety and wellbeing of our residents is our main priority.

**Thank you to whomever returned Pookie to City Hall.**

A few weeks ago, our public works director had to bring Pookie (Orange Snail Playground Buddy) to the main office because his support beam broke at the park.

While waiting on a new beam to be delivered, someone took Pookie from the back of the parking lot. We came to work to find Pookie - GONE!

We really thought Pookie was gone forever.

Two days later, our Public Works found Good ol' Pookie put back at the parking lot at City Hall with a note attached. The note was from a local parent who apologized that their child had "acted foolish" and took Pookie home.

We cannot thank you enough for returning our broken snail friend and even more for being responsible parent.

Pookie will soon be repaired and sent back to the park for the kids enjoyment.
