Join the City of Salem at one of three events this month to learn about the Salem Safe Streets for All Action Plan! They will be hosting events on June 9, June 10, and June 23 to kick off the new planning project and hear your concerns and priorities for making Salem a safer place to drive, walk, bike, and roll.
In 2023, the Salem City Council adopted a Vision Zero goal, aiming to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries in the next decade. As a critical step towards achieving that goal, the City secured a $2.8 million grant for the development of a Safe Streets for All Action Plan. The plan will guide the City’s investments and priorities for improving traffic safety as well as other related initiatives.
