NOTICE TO RESIDENTS – WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADES
Residents, especially those on the west side of town, may notice stronger than normal odors over the next month as work continues on the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrades.

As part of this phase of construction, the contractor will be temporarily transferring liquids from the oxidation basin to the temporary storm overflow area while improvements are made to the oxidation ditch. During this process, treatment plant staff and on-site contractors will do everything possible to help reduce odors; however, odors may remain above normal levels until work on the oxidation ditch is completed, materials are transferred back, and the new upgrades are fully operational.

We understand these odors may be unpleasant and appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as this important infrastructure improvement project moves forward.

These upgrades are part of the City’s continued investment in improving the reliability and long-term performance of the wastewater treatment system.

UPDATE - As of 8:30 this morning 05/22/2026, the bulk Water Salesman is working again.

Public Notice: Bulk Water Sales Temporarily Out of Order

The Water Salesman for bulk water purchases at the Parks Shop, located at the corner of 3rd and Grand, is temporarily out of order.

City staff will assess the issue in the morning and provide an update at that time.
