🇺🇸 National Police Week | Honoring Service & Sacrifice 🇺🇸

This week, the Salado ISD Police Department proudly joins communities across the nation in recognizing National Police Week — a time to honor the men and women of law enforcement who serve with courage, professionalism, and dedication each and every day.

We especially remember and pay tribute to the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, along with the families who continue to carry that sacrifice with strength and pride.

School-based law enforcement is about more than safety and security. It is about building relationships, mentoring students, supporting staff, and helping create a safe and welcoming learning environment for everyone on our campuses.

To all law enforcement officers — past and present — thank you for your service, commitment, and willingness to answer the call each day.

Please join us in keeping all law enforcement personnel and their families in your thoughts during National Police Week.

🚨Community Awareness🚨

We wanted to share an opportunity coming up in Salado that could make a real difference.

Communities for Recovery will be hosting a free, one-hour training on overdose awareness and prevention, and they’ll also be providing Narcan at no cost to those who attend.

📍 Salado Public Library
📅 May 6, 2026
⏰ 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

This training covers how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and what to do in those critical moments, including how to administer Narcan.

It’s simple information, but it can save a life.

We encourage anyone who’s interested to attend and learn more.
