I rose today to share the story of a Minnesota mother of two, a story of how too many parents fear that their kids won't return from school, or a concert, or a church.

This is not normal. We can take action to protect our children from gun violence, and give them the safe childhood they deserve. Let's vote on this comprehensive gun violence prevention bill and show Minnesotans where we stand.

I am proud to stand with neighbors from our district and across the state to deliver a simple message: Hold The Vote.

Right now, Lisa Demuth and Republicans are afraid to even allow a vote on any common-sense gun safety bill. We deserve a real debate and vote on these bills. No theatrics, no stalling, just actual conversation about a path forward for Minnesotans and the actions to match. If Lisa Demuth and Republicans were listening to Minnesotans, we would be able to vote on this bill.

St. Paul, MN- Yesterday, the Roberts Supreme Court issued a 6-3 decision in Callais v. Louisiana dismantling Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA), the last standing provision of the historic federal civil rights law that outlawed racial discrimination in voting and redistricting.

Every year in Minnesota we destroy $16 million of safe, unused medication while many Minnesotans are forced to skip and ration. But there are steps we can take to close that gap.

I'm glad the House overwhelmingly passed my bill to support the medication repository program so we can continue our work building a more healthy Minnesota.

We are less than a month away from the end of the 2026 Legislative Session. As I serve my first term in the House, I'm getting a pretty stark lesson in how the GOP uses divided government to stall progress on the issues our district cares most about. But we'll keep fighting to build a better Minnesota.
