We invite you to a day of community, care, and renewal in nature this Sunday in partnership with .paulbirds,
As we head into 2924, being part of a strong community can help us navigate what’s ahead. The outdoors and experiencing nature are powerful catalysts for building such community; we are all stronger together. Refresh yourself through a guided bird walk or gentle snowshoe walk, then relax inside with some cozy games, art, and treats. All are welcome to this free event; link and registration in bio. 📸

To cap off Week, LLBA recognizes our Birdability Captain, Mark Paller. Mark is instrumental in helping our organization connect people to birds, regardless of their abilities. He organizes and leads accessible outings, sharing his extensive bird knowledge with beginners and experts alike. Mark advises our Outreach & Education and EDIB+ Committees on how to incorporate accessibility and inclusivity into all of our programming. He says:

"Birding is fascinating and can be as challenging or relaxing as you want it to be. Being outdoors is calming and healing. I value the opportunity to introduce others to those joys. I became a local Birdability® Captain to organize outings for others with mobility challenges and other disabilities and to exchange ideas with Birdability Captains across the country doing similar work.”

Here’s a good reason to take the weekend off from yard work! Birds, mammals and insects depend on the dried plant matter for survival. While you’re leaving the leaves go ahead and save the stalks while you’re at it!

The Environment & Natural Resources Trust Fund is constitutionally dedicated funding for protecting MN's natural resources and the environment for current and future generations. All funding is secured through lottery proceeds and is in no way a tax. Since 1991, 1 BILLION has been raised. The measure is up for vote again this November. PLEASE REMEMBER A NON VOTE IS COUNTED AS A NO VOTE. So if you want to ensure this fund continues, please be sure to enter a YES vote.
