Today (Wed March 18), I presented my bill to increase school funding via Compensatory Aid - this will bring more funds directly into the classrooms that need it most. In Judiciary, I presented my bill to ban putting minor children on eviction notices.

Both bills passed in committee and are moving forward.

In early December, I visited Olson Island - just upstream from the Camden Bridge in the Mississippi.

The Mpls Park & Rec Board is restoring the island and seeding mussel habitats. These mussels will help clean and filter the Mississippi River.

Minnesota must keep investing in the health of our environment.

The MN Senate DFL led the way to pass $40 million in rent relief over Republican objections.

We are helping Minnesotans stay in their homes just like you’ve done the last several months.

Rent relief keeps people safe in their homes.

A bill with $40 million in rent relief is headed to the Minnesota Senate floor next week. Thanks to Senator Lindsey Port’s work, we’ve navigated 4 committees successfully.

In collaboration with Senator Ron Latz, the bill includes my provision to extend pre eviction notices from 14 to 30 days temporarily.

I need your help though: contact your elected leaders and let them know that rent relief is needed now!
