Today - June 1, 2026 - is the deadline to apply for a student loan from the SM Community Foundation. Applications are online at www.theSMCF.org, click on Student Loans and follow the links. You must apply from a computer desktop or equivalent; the app does not allow submissions by smart phone. We will send out approval letters later this week and ask loan recipients to schedule a time in July to sign the loan papers and receive a check.

SCHOLARSHIP VOUCHERS - you can drop off your Voucher and proof of enrollment at our office - 101 W. Spring St (the new city building). Our offices are on the 2nd floor. If we are not here, you may leave the documents at the 1st Floor City offices window and they will put them in our mailbox.

If you received a scholarship from the SM Community Foundation, you MUST complete and return the VOUCHER form on or by June 10th. If you received multiple scholarships, you only need to complete the Voucher form once. Please use black or blue ink or type the responses on the Voucher form. Responses written in pencil do not show up well when they are scanned. If you have any questions about the Voucher or need additional time, please contact us - [email protected]. We urge you to get them in as soon as possible and not wait until the last day. We would hate to see anyone lose out on a scholarship because they didn't submit the Voucher form on time. You can access the form at www.theSMCF.org, scroll down on the Home page to Scholarships and click on the Voucher button.

This is the LAST WEEKEND to submit a student loan application to the St. Marys Community Foundation. The application portal will close at midnight on June 1st. Go to www.theSMCF.org and click on Student Loans. You cannot use a smart phone to access the application; it must be from a PC.

REMINDER - if you were awarded a scholarship from the St. Marys Community Foundation - even a renewable scholarship - you MUST complete and return the VOUCHER form to us on or by June 10th. Also, you need to attach proof of enrollment at the college you will be attending. Voucher forms can be accessed at www.theSMCF.org on the Home page - scroll down to the heading Scholarships and click on the button for "SMCF Scholarship Voucher." Don't lose out on a scholarship because you didn't submit the Voucher form.

The SM Community Foundation offers low-interest student loans. No interest accrues while you are in college/graduate school, and then a 4% interest rate applies beginning 9 months after graduation or when you leave school. The deadline to apply is June 1st, 2026. Go to www.theSMCF.org and click on Student Loans. You must access the loan application on a computer, not a smart phone. We will send out confirmation letters to approved applicants by June 5th and schedule loan signing in July 2026.

REMINDER: The deadline to apply for a student loan from the SM Community Foundation is JUNE 1, 2026. The deadline to submit the Scholarship Voucher is June 10, 2026. If you need a Voucher, download it from the SMCF website at www.theSMCF.org Also, if you have been invited to the June 10th SMCF Scholarship Night, pls RSVP.

REMINDER - if you were awarded a scholarship from the St. Marys Community Foundation, remember to complete and return the Scholarship Voucher form to us on or by JUNE 10, 2026. You can download a copy of the Voucher on our website - www.theSMCF.org.

Also, student loan applications are open until JUNE 1, 2026. Student loans are available to St. Marys students (general educational loans), to Auglaize /Mercer County students who plan to attend vocational, trade, or industrial schools (use the link for St. Marys general educational loans), and to New Bremen students (Laut loans).
