📢 **Pool Opening Delayed**

Unfortunately, the City Pool will not be opening today due to an issue with water clarity. The health and safety of our patrons is always our top priority, and we cannot open the facility until water conditions meet required safety standards.

We understand this is disappointing news, especially since this is the second time we have had to postpone opening, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We share your frustration and are working diligently to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Our City's licensed, certified pool operators have been working hard behind the scenes to get the pool ready for use and are actively addressing the water clarity issue. We appreciate their dedication and commitment to ensuring the pool is safe and ready for the community to enjoy.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we take the necessary steps to ensure a safe swimming environment for everyone.

We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available. Thank you for your continued support.

🇺🇸❤️ Help Us Reach 250 Acts of Kindness by July 4th! ❤️🇺🇸

In celebration of America's 250th Anniversary, the City of St. Maries is challenging our community to complete **250 Acts of Kindness by July 4, 2026!**

So far, our amazing community has completed **20 acts of kindness**, which means we have **230 more to go!**

Acts of kindness can be big or small:
✨ Help a neighbor with yard work
✨ Pay for someone's coffee
✨ Write a thank-you note
✨ Pick up litter
✨ Donate to a local cause
✨ Simply make someone's day a little brighter

Have you completed an act of kindness? Let us know!

Every act counts, and together we can show what makes St. Maries such a special community.

Let's spread kindness, strengthen our community, and celebrate America's 250th birthday one good deed at a time. With only **230 acts left to reach our goal by July 4th**, every act of kindness makes a difference!

CITY OF ST. MARIES - NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

The St. Maries Fire Department has contractors that have been conducting routine testing of fire hydrants throughout the City. During hydrant testing, residents may experience temporary discoloration or cloudiness in their water due to sediment being stirred up within the water system.

Hydrants Recently Tested:
- Rimrock Dr.
- Milwaukee Rd. & Sunset View St.
- Powell Rd
- Elm Dr. & Todd St.
- S. 9th St. & College Ave.
- N. 23rd St. & Center Ave.
- S. 14th St. & Jefferson St.
- N 10th St. at Railroad Tracks

Residents in these areas and surrounding neighborhoods may be more likely to notice temporary water discoloration.

If you experience cloudy, rusty, or discolored water, please run a cold water faucet for several minutes until the water runs clear.

The water remains safe to use, and any discoloration is typically temporary and caused by naturally occurring sediment being disturbed during hydrant testing.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

❗️City Pool Opening Delay Notice ❗️

The City Pool was originally scheduled to open on June 8th. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected mechanical failure of the pool's recirculation pump, we must delay the opening.

A replacement pump has been ordered and will need to be delivered, installed, and thoroughly tested before the pool can safely operate. Following installation, staff will need additional time to properly balance and verify the pool's chemical levels to ensure the water meets all health and safety standards.

At this time, the pool's opening is tentatively rescheduled for June 22nd, pending the arrival of the new equipment, successful installation, and completion of all required water quality testing.

We understand this delay is disappointing and appreciate the community's patience and understanding as we work to ensure a safe and enjoyable swimming season for everyone.

Updates will be provided if the timeline changes. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to opening the pool as soon as possible.
