This is happening in our own community. A Minnesota mom is accusing St. Louis Park Schools of violating an executive order over mandatory pronoun exercises in class. Our classrooms should be places where kids can learn, grow, and just be kids — not spaces where they are confused or pressured by gender ideology. These conversations belong at home with families, not mandated by school policy.

This is a reminder of why every local election matters.

School board races are nonpartisan, but they have a huge impact on our kids, our community, and our values. In St. Louis Park, consider looking into candidates such as Meta Webb and Shana Kelly as possible alternatives. We encourage everyone to learn about who’s running and CONTACT them to share what’s important to you.

A Minnesota mother who has long challenged what she calls “ideological grooming” in public schools is accusing St. Louis Park Middle School of violating a federal directive by asking students — including her daughter — to share their preferred pronouns on the first day of school.

In a letter dated Sept. 26 and addressed to Principal Melissa Kalinowski, Jill McLaughlin said the practice violates Executive Order 14190, a January 2025 directive titled “Ending Radical Indoctrination in K–12 Schooling.” Signed Jan. 29, the order directs federal agencies to prevent taxpayer funds from supporting what it calls “gender ideology” or “discriminatory equity ideology” in schools.

It’s been over a week since we lost Charlie Kirk. We’ve been reflecting and grieving the loss of someone who promoted conversation and discourse — someone who stood proudly for faith, family, and freedom, and who was always willing to listen and engage.

We are heartbroken at the violence, and deeply troubled by how insensitive some responses have been. But we also recognize something powerful: in the days since, there has been an outpouring of people who want to come together, who want to make a difference. No matter how small, every action counts.

Charlie believed in standing on truth - even when it’s hard. And we refuse to stop doing so.
