The pool has been sand-blasted, and concrete repair work starts on Monday. We have made great progress (68%) but need to reach our goal of having the pool sealed and painted, and seams replaced prior to reopening in 2027.

On July 4th the Kiwanians took to the streets and joined the St Johnsbury Parade. The goal was to get out and be seen. It was an extra hot day which served as a reminder that the pool was closed for renovations. We still have a ways to go and would appreciate any assistance!!

St. Johnsbury’s Kiwanis Club met this evening and raffled off a quilt gifted from the Colebrook, NH Kiwanis Club. The raffle raised $745 toward reconstruction of the pool. John Nutbrown was the winner.

There have been a lot of comments concerning the Town of St. Johnsbury and the Kiwanis Pool. St. Johnsbury Kiwanis owns and is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing the pool, not the Town of St. Johnsbury. This has been the case since 1942. The Town has been a tremendous partner and gave Kiwanis access to Covid ARPA funds; they were used to pay for new fencing. Kiwanis values the Town of St. Johnsbury greatly and we look forward to future cooperation that serves children, families, and seniors in this community.

We regret to announce that the Kiwanis Pool will not open until the summer of 2027. The scheduled repairs were too time-constrained to open this summer and more fundraising needs to occur.
