Thanks Public Safety Foundation!

🌪️ Stearns County is stepping up its weather game! We’re adding 10 new weather stations around Stearns County & equipping every public safety department with anemometers (instruments that measure wind speed)—at zero cost to taxpayers, thanks to a generous $2,000 donation from the Public Safety Foundation. 🙌 These upgrades mean more accurate, real-time weather data to improve severe weather alerts and help keep our communities safe.

📍 New stations coming to: Belgrade, Brooten, Sauk Centre, Melrose, Freeport, Albany, Kimball, St. Augusta, Cold Spring & St. Martin! They build on our existing network of 8 weather stations located in St. Cloud (2), Holdingford, St. Stephen, Richmond, Paynesville, New Munich, and Greenwald.

Emergency Management, along with the Public Safety Foundation, presented this project at the Board Meeting.
