14 years today… A milestone with a realization that only one re-enlistment remains until retirement. I swear it went by in a blink but it doesn’t feel the same. Unfortunately the person I always call anytime something major in my life happens passed away this week. He is the reason I am who I am. My grit, my leadership, and my compassion. Couldn’t ask for a better role model and I hope that I can continue to show that in whatever capacity my career takes me. Thanks to my family, friends, and always to those that I have met on this ride.

PATIENCE- It takes time to do the impossible. Takes hard work to get anywhere. And it takes never giving up when it comes to the NSW world. A friend I served with has been kind enough to share a bit about his path and the difficulty of his program SARC HM. This is going to be a long post, the pictures are graphic, and faces are covered to protect these war fighters. To all those who want be a part of the tribe, head the words———————————————————

“Undesignated SN 3 years (FFG-58), PS3 for 2 years at NOSC Greenville, Cross-rated to HM and began the pipeline, as follows:
-HM "A" School
-FMTB
-Basic Reconnaissance Course
-Special Operations Combat Medic
-SFMS/SOIDC (additional 4 months of SOCM, for Army SF 18D and Navy SOIDC)
-Army Airborne
-Dive Medicine
-Marine Combatant Diver

All in all, the pipeline is about 3 years long and now Im at 1st Marine Raider Batt. We are professional gun fighters and professional medical providers all in one with our specialty being point of injury treatment, MEDEVAC/CASEVAC, prolonged field care (PFC), surgical and anasthesia capabilities, combatant dive and jump qualified. The job demands alot and you must be willing and able to exceed all demands. We are warriors amongst warriors, and those warriors are amongst a SARC. For everyone coming up and looking to do the job I’d like them to understand that it’s a long and arduous pipeline. Everyday is a new day to pass or fail”. —L—

On this day 11 years ago I enlisted into the United States Navy and today I re-enlisted on the anniversary of that date. Nobody knows what your future is going to hold but isn’t it better to take the leap sometimes? Thanks to my wife, family, friends, and those I’ve been fortunate enough to serve with!

BEST VIEW: No matter what... this is the one thing that I never get sick of. Waking up in the morning and walking outside to this view everyday as I’m traveling across the great blue yonder. It’s an overwhelming feeling being a part of the worlds greatest Navy⚓️.

STADEPGRU-3: is a group that consists of my future sailors that I mentor before they ship to boot camp. Whether they are Specwar, aviation, engineering, medical, or any of the other various fields we have in the Navy they still learn one of the best traits we experience and that’s camaraderie! -3

Leading up to our final deployment on the USS Samuel B. Roberts was amazing. Families were invited to spend a day underway with the crew and get to see first hand what it’s like to be a sailor. An amazing time in my career and had a blast with family and friends!!! @ Naval Station Mayport
