As the seventh

largest law enforcement agency in the nation, the Department will continue its primary responsibility to anticipate and respond to the needs of the public which it serves. Henry Yu Hangs Up His Apron! 🧁👮‍♂️

​Last week, the CHP Academy was honored to say farewell to an absolute legend! 🎂✨

​Henry Yu officially started his journey with us on January 5, 2009, as the Academy Baker. Henry then promoted to Supervising Cook I in 2023.

​Throughout his remarkable 17 years here, Henry has been a stellar employee who constantly went above and beyond for his CHP family and our guests. Whether he was crafting unforgettable desserts, or leading the morning kitchen crew, his dedication and work ethic have been unmatched.

In retirement, Henry plans to start painting again and will continue to be a beast in the gym (he never missed a day at the Academy gym).

​Thank you, Henry, for feeding us, inspiring us, and leaving behind a legacy that literally cannot be duplicated. Please join us in wishing Henry a wonderful and well-deserved retirement!

Cadets from CTC I-26 took their first step into shotgun familiarization as Weapons Training Unit staff introduced them to the Re*****on Model 870 platform. From safety fundamentals to operational capabilities, cadets continue building the skills and confidence needed for a career of service.

Leading the pack. 🏃‍♂️

Watch the cadets of CTC I-26 push their limits with early morning sprint drills. These drills aren't just about building speed and cardiovascular endurance, they're about building the mental toughness, discipline, and grit required for the job. They will also help with catching suspects that attempt to flee as well 🚨

CTC I-26 started the morning on the grind. The Physical Training Unit led the cadets through a savage circuit training session to kick off the day.

​If sweat makes the grass grow, we’re looking at a very green season.
